Designed specifically for those diagnosed with lupus, the Get Up & Go: Boost Your Energy Fatigue Management Program provides participants with an educational opportunity to learn, gain tools and develop techniques in which to live healthier with lupus.
The six-week program meets one time per week for two hours. Topic areas include: joint protection, adapted exercise, nutrition and fitness, energy conservation for life’s activities and individual planning for creating life balance.
The program’s unique design offers a comfortable and supportive environment where participants share ideas and concerns paired with access to knowledgeable professionals providing an exceptionally well-rounded learning experience.
This program was launched in 2011 by LFM as a pilot project in collaboration with the Occupational Therapy Department at St. Catherine’s University. Due to positive participant feedback, the program was expanded with offerings in the Twin Cities, Duluth and Rochester in November 2012.
