2010 Student Summer Research Fellowship Applications Now Being Accepted

The question, "what did you do over summer vacation?" typically doesn't produce a memorable response.

LFM offers an option that will provide you with an answer that is anything but forgettable! How about saying: “I spent the summer conducting clinical research into the cause and cure for lupus!”

The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota’s Student Summer Fellowship Program exists to foster an interest in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) research among undergraduates by providing an opportunity for promising young scientists to participate in basic or clinical research with an established investigator.

Students receive stipends and budget expenses to cover costs for summer fellowships spent in research labs.

Since its inception, the Summer Fellowship program has supported the work of nearly 100 young investigators, cultivating a new generation of lupus researchers and bringing greater awareness to the cause.

Applications are now being accepted for Summer 2010 fellowships in the area of lupus research. Download the application now (PDF).

Selected students are connected with an established faculty researcher at the University of Minnesota for final project approval.

DEADLINE: 5 p.m. on May 3, 2010
