The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM) funds researchers primarily at local institutions to find a cure and more effective treatments for people living with lupus. The first clinical research grant was paid out in 1995. Since that time, over 69 clinical research grants have been made to researchers working on lupus-related research with grants and fellowships now totaling over 2.3 million dollars. For information on funded researchers and projects, visit our news page. Applications for funding are generally accepted in early November with funding awarded at year’s end for the subsequent year.
The 2017 application for Lupus Clinical Research Grants is now closed. LFM is currently reviewing submitted applications. Watch for an announcement about grant recipients in a future newsletter.
