Since 1999, the Lupus Pickup Service has collected donated clothing, household goods and other items throughout Minnesota. Your donations have made it possible for the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota (LFM) to provide vital programs and services for lupus patients and their families.
The Lupus Pickup Service will collect clothing and household items at your door which are then sold in bulk to thrift stores with proceeds coming back to support LFM. The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that as much as 85 percent of used textiles end up in landfills. The Lupus Pickup Service was recently recognized for effective recycling efforts by collecting unwanted items for re-use. Recycle your unwanted items while you support LFM.
You can schedule a pickup online at lupuspickup.org or by phone at 651-748-0400. Place any items you wish to donate in the designated area on the scheduled date by 8 a.m. Pickups occur between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The truck driver will leave you a tax deduction receipt. You do not need to be home when items are picked up.
If you prefer, items can also be dropped off at any of the thrift stores listed below. Donated items should be clearly labeled for the “Lupus Foundation of Minnesota.”
