    Living Well with Lupus as a Youth Seminar

    Did you know approximately 20% of people living with lupus are diagnosed in their childhood? Being a youth can be challenging, let alone a youth living with lupus. In this seminar, Mona Riskalla, M.D., and Kiana Johnson, Ph.D., will discuss the unique aspects of being a youth living with lupus, including the transition from pediatric to adult health care, as well as general strategies to better manage the disease through nutrition, exercise, and supplements.

    Lupus 'Spiel USA

    The Four Seasons Curling Club is hosting its second annual professional-amateur curling bonspiel (tournament) to benefit the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota. Yes, curling, like you’ve seen in the Olympics. Experience a weekend of curling action with celebrity skips including Olympians and World Bronze Medalists, as well as a dinner and dance. Open to curlers of all ages and abilities.

    WHAT: People of all abilities sign up to play with the best curlers in the world. Individual registrations. Three amateurs per team, one celebrity skip.

    COST: $150 per person. IF the team raises $500 or more for LFM, you’ll have your choice of celebrity skip

    HOW: Registration forthcoming. Check back soon!

    SILENT AUCTION: Beginning Friday night and concluding Saturday, will feature curling merchandise and memorabilia as well as other goods

    INCLUDED: Dinner/Dance on Saturday night at onsite restaurant, Gabe’s Rinkside Bar & Grill .
