The Lupus Foundation of Minnesota will present this seminar on living with lupus for outreach staff of the North Branch Senior Center.
The prevalence of lupus is startling, yet it remains a disease that is hidden, misunderstood and difficult to diagnose. The impact of both diagnosis and disease activity is felt by the individual, family, community, workplace and health care entities.
Whether you are diagnosed, know someone who is or work with lupus, responding to and managing this disease is essential. Take a proactive stance through education and creating awareness. Knowledge offers the opportunity to avert serious complications, encourage healthy disease behavior and promote a quality of life.
