Living Well with Lupus as a Youth Seminar
Did you know approximately 20% of people living with lupus are diagnosed in their childhood? Being a youth can be challenging, let alone a youth living with lupus. In this seminar, Mona Riskalla, M.D., and Kiana Johnson, Ph.D., will discuss the unique aspects of being a youth living with lupus, including the transition from pediatric to adult health care, as well as general strategies to better manage the disease through nutrition, exercise, and supplements.

In this webinar, Dr. Emily Gillespie will talk about her study of the relationship between lupus and women, particularly African-American women. Several gene expression patterns, or biomarkers, appear to be unique to African-American patients.
