Chi-Gung for Your Health — For You

Join us for an introductory class in the art of Chi-Gung. Chi-Gung is a centuries-old form of meditative exercise. Originating in China, Chi-gung grounds the mind in the body, increases self-awareness, builds internal energy and helps to develop a more flexible body, both physically and spiritually.

Chi-gung techniques include deep breathing, stretching movements, focusing the mind, and chanting vowel sounds. In each class, instructor Pat Gottschalk will lead you through warm-up, stretching, centering, energy and affirmation aspects. You may stand or sit as needed. The class is adaptable for those who may have physical limitations. Come as you are — stiff, limber, happy, sad, clumsy, nimble. Wear light, stretch clothing. No mats.

Instructor Pat Gottschalk has taught chi-gung for 15 years.  She studied with several Chi-gung instructors, including Kenneth Cohen and Master Chunyi Lin, a highly regarded teacher in the Twin Cities. Pat is a certified Shiatsu practitioner (including Reiki, Lymph Massage and Cranio-Sacral therapy) with a 19-year practice in Minneapolis.

Classes will be held every Wednesday in February: 5, 12, 19 and 26.
