Adaptive Yoga with Michelle Pietrzak-Wegner (Holistic Health Series)

Join certified yoga instructor Michelle Pietrzak-Wegner in this workshop on adaptive yoga. Adaptive yoga strengthens the connection between the mind and the body. Benefits include increased flexibility, greater sense of balance, increased strength, mental clarity and overall well-being.
The class will give extra time and assistance in moving in and out of yoga poses and postures and all moves are adapted to each individual.
About Michelle: Michelle is an emerging yoga master who is a certified instructor of Yoga Alliance with 950+ hours of yoga training and over 2000 hours of teaching experience. Michelle has experience working with clients dealing with cancer, stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, immune disorders and limited mobility including spinal cord and brain injury. Her own experience with cancer and immune disorders allows her to come from a place of understanding and compassion when dealing with those who are at the various stages of illness, imbalance, and disease. She is a certified Yoga Therapist in the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy tradition. Plus, as a faculty member of the Yoga Center of Minneapolis, Michelle teaches individuals and groups studying to teach yoga in both the 200 hour and 500 hour advanced training programs. Her curriculum provides instruction in therapeutic yoga, yoga for special populations, yoga therapy, yoga anatomy, yin yoga, Taoist yoga and yoga philosophy.
